The Story of the British Violinist's Family

Daniel Hope may be British, but he has German roots. The violinist, three times holder of the major German music prize, the Klassik Echo, has now written a book about his Jewish family, tracing back its history over five generations. Daniel Hope's journey takes us to South Africa where he was born in 1974, to the house of Yehudi Menuhin in London, and to Berlin. The book reflects the economic change and the political upheavals of the 20th century.
