Daniel Hope has won "ECHO KLASSIK" Prize PDF E-Mail

Daniel Hope has won Germany's coveted "ECHO KLASSIK" Prize for the fourth time.

 

His Deutsche Grammophon recording of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Thomas Hengelbrock picked up the prize, which will be awarded in a televised Gala ceremony in Munich's Gasteig, on October 19th.

Other winners of the 2008 ECHO Klassik include Cecilia Bartoli, Danielle de Niese, Mariss Jansons, Martha Argerich, Murray Perahia and José Carreras.

Hope has won the ECHO Klassik in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
